Out of the Cold: Centre County is an emergency shelter opened from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. beginning mid-October until early-May. Every evening guests are welcomed with a warm meal, a cot and warm blankets. Breakfast is served in the morning and guests can register to return the next night if desired. Guests must preregister if they plan to spend the night at a shelter. The location of the shelter rotates every two weeks.
This program is ran almost completely by volunteers and is always looking for more people to help. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Financial donations are also greatly appreciated to help cover costs of supplies and transportation.
