The EXPO is an opportunity to be inspired and become familiar with the breadth and depth of the Penn State Sustainable Communities Collaborative program. The poster style exposition will feature student projects in concert with community partners, addressing community sustainability challenges. Projects range across the spectrum of disciplines and colleges at Penn State. For example, find out how communication students may promote suicide prevention workshops, or graphic design students create the new visual identity for a non-profit organization; learn how ag engineers deal with storm water issues in rural communities and how horticulture students design rain gardens. Find out how western Pennsylvania organizations may utilize solar and how a conservation district can proactively address conflict.
The Expo will be held on April 25 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the State College Borough Building, 234 S Allen Street. New this year, a brief program will highlight special student projects and will feature a brief keynote address. The event is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
